Street Boss filly Tris, backing up after a recent maiden victory at Echuca, has shown superior speed to lead all the way in the G3 Breeders’ Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on April 16.
The well-backed David Hayes and Tom Dabernig-trained two-year-old was sent straight to the front from barrier two and was always travelling comfortably for jockey Dylan Dunn, kicking clear in the straight to win by one and a quarter lengths.
A homebred for P Mayo, Tris is the first foal out of winning Exceed And Excel mare Buratti, who has a Domesday weanling colt and was served again by Street Boss last year,
Street Boss is the sire of 23 Stakes winners, among them recent G1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) winner The Quarterback, G1 King’s Bishop winner Capo Bastone and Arkansas Derby victor Danza.
