Anamoe collected his ninth G1 victory and made amends for his Godolphin stablemate Pericles and for Street Boss when he won the G1 George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, 18 March.
Caught three- and four-wide for most of the 1,500m event, Anamoe produced one of his toughest performances to beat Fangirl and Converge in a close finish.
Jockey James McDonald had little option from his outside barrier but to race wide, worse than midfield and hope for luck.
Anamoe, out of the Australian Stakes-winning mare Anamato, showed his champion qualities, taking his incredible record to 14 wins and seven placings from 24 starts for a prizemoney swag of $11,696,030 under head trainer James Cummings.
Pericles had earlier finished a narrow second in the G1 Rosehill Guineas, just beaten by Lindermann (Lonhro) after taking the lead with 150m to gallop.
A dual G1 winner on the track, Street Boss won seven races and was placed four times from just 13 starts.
The stallion has 62 Stakes winners worldwide - including eight at G1 level - of 129 Black-Type races.
His progeny have won almost US$86 million in prize money.
