Boss Barney's Babe in charge in Orleans Stakes
Street Boss sired his newest Stakes winner November 23 when his three-year-old daughter Boss Barney's Babe put forward a strong win in the Orleans Stakes at Delta Downs.
Settling into position mid-pack in the seven-furlong race, Boss Barney's Babe made her move on the far turn. Traveling three-wide, the filly accelerated in the stretch and cleared away an easy winner.
Bred in Kentucky by Lynn Jones, Kathy Jones, Louis P. Guida & Chris Christoforou, Boss Barney's Babe is out of Jezebella, who has also produced Stakes winner Balian. The filly's second dam is Stakes winner and G1-placed For All Seasons.
A G1-winning son of Street Cry, Street Boss is the sire of nine Stakes horses to date. The sire's top performers include G1 King's Bishop Stakes winner Capo Bastone and multiple Stakes-winning filly Street Gem from his first crop.
Street Boss will stand the 2014 breeding season for $10,000 stands and nurses.
