Capo Bastone a powerful winner in the G1 King's Bishop
Capo Bastone proved his class in winning the G1 King's Bishop at Saratoga Race Course on August 24th. Already G1-placed at two, the son of Street Boss placed second in the G3 Derby Trial Stakes and was last seen in the G2 Woody Stephens Stakes in June with an uncharacteristic sub par performance.
There was no stopping him today though. After starting away slowly, he waited to make his move until the final furlong but was still 15 lengths behind. He rushed up on the outside and pushed out in front to win by two lengths having clocked the final furlong in 10 seconds flat.
Capo Castone is out of the Stakes-placed mare Fight to Love, by Fit to Fight. He is a half-brother to multiple Graded-placed C J's Leelee. The colt was bred by Hargus Sexton, Sandra Sexton, Tom Bozarth & Silver Fern Farm, LLC.
A G1-winning son of Street Cry, Street Boss is the sire of eight stakes horses so far. Most recently, his two-year-old son Danza was third in the G2 Saratoga Special Stakes on August 11th. He is also represented by the unbeaten stakes winner Bosco, and the two-year-old stakes winner Silvertonguedtommy.
