19th two year-old winner by Street Boss
Gabrial The Boss became the 19th two year-old winner for sire Street Boss when he scored in a maiden race at Wolverhampton Racecourse on December 17th. Starting as the favorite in the one mile race, he was ridden to the lead over one furlong out and stayed on to cross the wire three quarters of a length in front of the runner-up.
Trained by David Simcock, Gabrial The Boss races in the colors of Dr. Marwan Koukash. He was bred by Hunter Valley Farm and is out of Bacinella by El Gran Senor. Bacinella is a half sister to Listed Stakes winner Xtra and is the dam of two Stakes performers; Listed winner and sire Fong’s Thong and Listed placed Golden Anthem. She is from the family of European Champion and G1-winning mare Committed and American sire English Channel.
Street Boss is currently rated second on the Leading First Crop Sire list by number of winners and is the Leading Freshman Sire by sales averages for two year-old sales. His first crop is highlighted by unbeaten Stakes winner Bosco and G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile- placed Capo Bastone.
Street Boss will stand the 2013 season for $10,000 stands and nurses at Jonabell.
