The breeding barn reputation of former record-breaking sprinter Street Boss was elevated even higher on Saturday, 16 October when the talented Elite Street won the Listed R.S Crawford Stakes over 1000m at Ascot in Perth.
A week after Anamoe (Street Boss) by Anamato (Redoute's Choice) confirmed his standing as the best three-year-old colt in Australia with a commanding victory in the Caulfield Guineas at the highest level, Elite Street returned from a spell in impressive fashion.
The Street Boss gelding, out of Elite Ateates (Exceed And Excel), zoomed down the centre of the track to beat Rock Magic and Stageman, taking his race record to six wins and one placing from 14 starts.
Bred by Robert and Anne Anderson of Anita Vale Stud in WA, the Dan Morton-trained Eite Street was Street Boss’s 56th black-type winner worldwide and enhanced the stallion's record as the sire of nearly 2,000 race winners of more than $85 million in prizemoney.
Street Boss stands at Jonabell, Kentucky, and is the fastest-ever son of Street Cry. Only Into Mischief, Curlin and Constitution could top his seven juvenile Stakes horses in 2020 and in 2021 his sale of two-year-olds bring $360k, $250k, $230k, $190k, $159k, etc.
