Street Boss sires second winner on the day
Just as his “half-sister”, Madison Street, did about an hour before, Street Boss’ Canadian Boss took the lead shortly after the start and lead at every split to notch his first career victory on August 24, 2012 on Ellis Park’s main track over the dirt. Street Boss has now sired winners on dirt, turf and synthetic, in the U.S., Canada, France and Italy.
Bred in Kentucky by Gil Masters, Canadian Boss is out of the multiple Stakes-placed winner Call Her Clever, and is a half-brother to G3 winner Mr. Rod.
Street Boss is North American’s leading freshman sire by winners having added number nine and 10 this afternoon. His eight other winners include Stakes winner Bosco, French Stakes-placed winner Sheistheboss, and Saratoga maiden special weight winner Top Tier Lass. Street Boss also leads all other first-year sires in 2012 by two-year-old sales average. His six-figure sales graduates this year include the $430,000 top-priced filly and the $825,000 second highest-priced colt (second highest of all colts).
