Right Hand Man battled the length of the stretch with Mach One Rules before prevailing by a stubborn nose to win the six-furlong Oakland Stakes November 18.
Making just his third start this season, the three-year-old son of Street Boss earned the second Stakes victory of his career in the Oakland. Right Hand Man now has won four of his eight lifetime starts.
Bred in Kentucky by Gordon Bithell, Right Hand Man is out of Storm Queen, a winning daughter of Stormy Atlantic. Right Hand Man’s second dam is Dixieland Gold, winner of the G2 Beaumont Stakes and Listed La Troienne Stakes.
In addition to Right Hand Man, Street Boss is the sire of 2017 Stakes winners Rapper Dragon, winner of the Hong Kong Derby (a local G1) and the G2 Chairman's Trophy; Hence, winner of the G3 Iowa Derby and G3 Sunland Derby; Street Surrender, winner of the Southern Truce Stakes; Long Hot Summer, winner of the Daisycutter Handicap; Big Handsome, winner of the Paradise Creek Stakes and Highway Boss, winner of the S.W. Randall Stakes.
Street Boss will stand the 2018 season at Jonabell Farm for a fee of $20,000, stands and nurses.
