Hoss is the Boss
Exciting first crop sire Street Boss was represented by his fifth winner July 29 as the colt Street Hoss was nothing short of impressive on debut at Ellis Park.
Street Hoss set a steady pace early on in the five and one-half furlong turf race. In the stretch the colt drew away where there was no one stopping him to take the victory by nearly five lengths.
Street Hoss was bred in Kentucky by Lucy G. Bassett and is out of the Boundary mare Winnow. She is a half-sister to Stakes winner Falconese, who is the dam of Graded-placed WIndsong.
A multiple G1-winning son of Street Cry, Street Boss is already producing black-type runners and is currently the leading US Freshman Sire. His son Bosco remains unbeaten, having won the Edmonton Juvenile on July 21 while daughter Sheistheboss recently placed in the Prix Six Perfections at Deauville. Street Boss is also the leading freshman sire of 2012 by sales average in North America.
