Holy Boss leads the way in G2 Amsterdam Stakes
Street Boss's Holy Boss just keeps getting better. After his two-year-old debut at Churchill Downs earned him TDN Rising Star status, the colt has been on a tremendous three-year-old campaign in 2015, notching his third Stakes win in a row August 1 in the G2 Amsterdam Stakes at Saratoga. The score follows victories in the Chick Lang Stakes on Preakness Day as well as a win in the Bachelor Stakes at Oaklawn.
In the six-and-one-half-furlong sprint Holy Boss broke sharply and pressed the pace in second along the outside. Down the stretch the son of Street Boss contended for the lead, and breezed past the leader for a comfortable win at the line.
Holy Boss is out of Holy Bull mare Holy Grace, a half-sister to multiple Graded Stakes winner Mark One, Stakes winner Daiwa Carson, and the dam of G3 winner Pleasant Prince. Holy Boss's second dam is Stakes winner My Marchesa. He was bred in Kentucky by Adena Springs.
Among Street Boss's other Graded Stakes winners are G1 winners Danza and Capo Bastone, as well as 2015 G3 El Camino Real Derby winner Metaboss. The sire has also been represented by recent back-to-back Stakes winner Soul Driver.
