Bossy Moment took command on the far turn and was never threatened on her way to posting a six-and-three-quarter-length victory in the Iowa Breeders’ Oaks at Prairie Meadows Sept. 25.
It was the first Stakes win for the three-year-old filly by Street Boss, who has now finished in-the-money in 10 of 14 career starts.
Bred in Iowa by H. Allen Poindexter, Bossy Moment is out of Careless Moment, a winning daughter of Successful Appeal. Careless Moment is a half-sister to Killybegs Captain, winner of the G3 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash and placed in the G1 Forego Stakes.
Bossy Moment is one of eight North American Stakes winners in 2021 for her sire Street Boss. Other Stakes winners this year include Lady War Machine (Alywow Stakes); New Boss (Pea Patch Overnight Stakes, Allen ‘Black Cat’ Lecombe Memorial Stakes); Who Took the Money (Crescent City Derby); Lady Edith (Mamzelle Stakes); three-time Stakes winner, Top Executive (Auburn Stakes, etc.); Bienville Street (Sunshine Filly & Mare Turf Stakes) and Manhattan Up (Los Alamitos Special).
In Australia, Street Boss is represented by Stakes winners Anamoe (G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes at two and G2 Run to the Rose Stakes at three); Arcaded (G2 Blue Diamond Fillies Prelude, G3 Magic Night); Heresy (G3 David Coles); and Street Life (Railway Stakes).
