Anamoe again stamped his class at racing’s highest level with a dominant win at Royal Randwick on Saturday, 20 August in the G1 Winx Stakes over 1,400m.
The four-year-old colt, by Street Boss out of Australian mare Anamato, returned from a spell to dash along the inside with champion jockey James McDonald in the saddle and burst clear of Fangirl and Profound by a widening 1.75 lengths.
It was the fourth G1 victory of Anamoe’s career and took his impressive record to eight wins and seven placings from 17 starts for a prize money swag of $5,248,275.
The talented colt showed why he’s regarded by many people as the best horse in Australia with a commanding victory, now notching a G1 win at age two, three and four, joining an elite group of horses to accomplish this extraordinary feat.
