Street Cry's Falls Of Lora brilliant in Dubai
Racing in the blue colors of the Godolphin Stable, Street Cry’s Darley-bred daughter, Falls of Lora, came from off the pace win her first career stakes in the G3 UAE Oaks on February 23. The pacesetting Mary Fildes drew off for a commanding 10-plus-length lead but she came back to the field with Falls of Lora making an impressive winning move along the rail to win going away.
Falls of Lora was bred in Ireland and is a half-sister to the Listed winner Etive who is by other Darley-America stallion Elusive Quality. Her dam is the the Listed-winning/G1-placed Firth of Lorne who is out of Listed winner and Classic G1-placed Kerrera. Firth of Lorne also has a New Approach yearling of 2012 and a 2012 Iffraaj colt by her side, with both sires standing at Darley’s European studs at Dalham, in England, and Kildangan, in Ireland, respectively.
Street Cry is now the sire of 13 G1 winners, eight G2 winners and 14 G3 winners. His career total of stakes winners now totals 45 and includes Horse of the Year Zenyatta, Champion/Kentucky Derby winner and promising young sire Street Sense as well as multiple G1 winner and record-setter Street Boss. The latter two also stand at Darley America.
Street Cry's 2012 fee is $150,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
