Streetwithnoname zipped through an opening along the inside rail on her way to earning her first Stakes victory in the Robert Dupret Derby at Santa Rosa 5 Aug.
The only filly in the field of nine, the three-year-old daughter of Street Sense benefited from a ground-saving ride by jockey Abel Cedillo, who settled the filly in mid-pack through the early stages of the race.
As the field rounded the far turn, Streetwithnoname began her move, closing in on the leaders while “scraping paint” along the inside rail. The Eoin Harty trainee shot through an opening at the top of the stretch and took command, and easily held off Respect The Hustle to win by a length.
Bred in Kentucky by Godolphin, Streetwithnoname is out of Frost Fire, a winning daughter of fellow Darley stallion, Medaglia d’Oro. Streetwithnoname’s third dam is La Gueriere (G1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup), and she is related to such standouts as Al Mamoon (G1), Icon Project (G1), Munnings (G2) and Lasting Approval (G2).
Street Sense has sired over 50 career Stakes winners, including multiple G1 winners Sweet Reason and Wedding Toast, along with the outstanding Australian colt Hallowed Crown. Street Sense is the sire of 2018 Graded Stakes winners The Lieutenant (G3 All American Stakes), Avery Island (G3 Withers) and McKinzie (G3 Sham Stakes).
