Talent and perseverance combined to give Dixie Blossoms a deserved victory in the G3 Angst Stakes at Randwick on 7 October.
It was a win that kept alive in Australia the legacy of her sire Street Sense, who no longer shuttles to the southern hemisphere.
Dixie Blossoms had been Street Sense’s previous Group winner in this country when she won the G2 Guy Walter Stakes in February, 2017.
She also won the 2016 running of the Angst Stakes.
Dixie Blossoms carries the heritage of a strong New Zealand family through her dam Whistle Dixie whose maternal line traces to the G1 NZ Derby winner Zonda and the multiple Group winner and G1 Melbourne Cup placegetter Magnolia Hall.
Street Sense stands at Jonabell Farm, Kentucky.
