Medaglia d’Oro three-year-old colt Bronson captured the English Channel Stakes on the turf at Gulfstream Park on May 6th for his first Stakes victory.
Sent off as odds-on favourite, Bronson travelled comfortably midfield before powering home at the top of the stretch to secure a dominant victory.
Bred in Kentucky by Ran Jan Racing, Inc., Bronson is out of multiple G3 winner Cambiocorsa (Avenue of Flags), and is a half-brother to G2 winners Schiaparelli and Moulin de Mougin. He was purchased by trainer Todd Pletcher for $350,000 at the 2015 Keeneland September Sale.
Bronson is the sixth stakes winner of the year for Medaglia d’Oro, who has also sired G1 winner Dickinson and G3 winner Ever So Clever in 2017.
Medaglia d’Oro is standing the 2017 breeding season at Jonabell Farm for a fee of $150,000.
