Tower Of Texas posts big win in G2 King Edward Stakes
Entering the G2 King Edward Stakes with a perfect two-for-two record in 2015, Street Sense's Tower Of Texas continued his winning streak with a commanding score in the G2 event at Woodbine.
In the one-mile turf race Tower Of Texas traveled along the rail towards the back of the field. Second last entering the far turn, the son of Street Sense took aim at the lead at the top of the stretch, and cruised down the lane to capture the win.
Bred by Anderson Farms (Ontario) Inc. & Rod Ferguson, Tower Of Texas is out of G2 Black Eyed Susan Stakes-placed mare Rare Opportunity, also the dam of Graded Stakes winner Street Sounds (Street Cry) and Stakes winner Silver Highlight.
Tower Of Texas represented the 15th Graded Stakes winner for Street Sense, whose year has been highlighted by recent G1 Ogden Phipps Stakes winner Wedding Toast, G1 Las Virgenes Stakes winner Callback, and G1 Randwick Guineas victor Hallowed Crown.
Street Sense stands for $35,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
