Enticed's two-year-old son Inveigled became the 14th winner for his freshman sire with an impressive eight-length win in a maiden special weight at Laurel Park on October 5th.
After finishing third on debut going six furlongs at Pimlico on September 15th, Enticed's first-crop son Inveigled returned three weeks later to demolish a field of two-year-old maidens on the dirt at Laurel Park. Inveigled broke best of all and never looked back in the five-and-half-furlong contest, pulling away in the stretch to win by eight lengths under wraps for jockey Charlie Marquez, trainer Jane Cibelli and owner Mark Grier.
Bred in Indiana by St. Simon Place LLC, Inveigled is the second foal out of the unraced Quality Road mare Kitty Quality, a daughter of Stakes winner Candy Kitty (Lemon Drop Kid). Inveigled was a $35,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase and a $52,000 two-year-old in training purchase at OBS June.
Inveigled is the 14th winner for freshman sire Enticed, whose other first-crop winners include Churchill Downs MSW winner Shimmering Allure, Del Mar maiden winner Tambo, Ellis Park MSW winner Darkroom, and Gulfstream MSW winners Sugar Treat and Demar's Legacy.
