Street Sense colt remains unbeaten

Street Sense three-year-old colt Fleet Street won the Hyacinth Stakes, a local Listed race over 1600m in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday to remain unbeaten in three starts.

Fleet Street defeated Bernardini’s son Genten by half a length to make it three wins from as many starts and the way he was powering away at the finish under Yuichi Fukunaga suggests he will be winning more good races.

Bred by Darley Japan K.K., Fleet Street is the first foal out of the winning Singspiel mare Jenny Lind, a full-sister to Group winner Songlark and a daugher of the Champion juvenile Negligent, who was also third in the 1,000 Guineas as a three-year-old. Jenny Lind also has a yearling colt by Darley Japan's Storming Home, is in foal to Commands and due to visit Admire Moon later this season.

Street Sense, by Street Cry, was the sensational winner of both the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile and G1 Kentucky Derby - the only horse to ever do so. His nineteen winners and two Graded Stakes horses include G3 Iroquois Stakes winner Motor City, G1 Frizette-placed Miss Netta, and repeat winner Sensible Lady.
