Fantastic number four
Two-year-old Midshipman colt Two Six Wins lived up to his name July 6 winning a Maiden Special Weight at Los Alamitos to become the fourth winner for his freshman sire.
In the five-furlong event Two Six Wins was quick into stride to set the early pace. When taken on down the lane, the colt battled determinedly for the sharp win.
Bred by Labhras Draper, Randolph Little & Darley, the colt is a half-brother to Stakes-placed runner Doc O Dynamite. Two Six Wins is out of Stakes winner Friona, a full-sister to Stakes winner Fort Dodge, and a half-sister to Stakes winner Berdelia and Stakes-placed Turning Around, granddam of G3-winning Hard Spun colt Hard Enough.
A son of Unbridled's Song, Midshipman was a winner of the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile and G1 Del Mar Futurity before being crowned Eclipse Champion Two-Year-Old. He is the sire of four winners to date, among them head-turning debut winner at Gulfstream Naval Command, as well as two other winners first time out in Sunny Yellow and Her Majesty's Flag.
Midshipman stands for $7,500, live foal, stands and nurses.
