Darley sires go 1-2-3 in G2 Hobartville Stakes in Sydney
G1-winning Street Sense colt Hallowed Crown confirmed his status as one of the most exciting stallion prospects in Australia leading home a Darley-sired trifecta in the G2 Hobartville Stakes at Rosehill, February 21.
Resuming from a spell, Hallowed Crown overcame interference on the home bend to record a narrow but impressive win over Lonhro colt Sweynesse with Teofilo colt Kermadec a close-up third.
A homebred for Gooree Park Stud, Hallowed Crown is out of G3 winner and G1 Golden Slipper runner-up Crowned Glory. Also the dam of G3 winner Needs Further, Crowned Glory hails from the family of G1 winner and Champion stallion Zabeel.
Street Sense is off to an excellent start in 2015 with three G1 performers already, including the 1-2 finishers in the G1 Las Virgenes, Callback and Light The City. He is standing at Jonabell Farm at a fee of $35,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
