Carlton House sparkles in return to the races

There were a few anxious moments in the G3 Brigadier Gerard as HM The Queen’s Carlton House lacked just a bit of running room as the field sprinted towards the finish of the one and one-quarter mile event. But jockey Ryan Moore steered the son of Street Cry between the front runners and guided the four-year-old to a solid victory in his first race in nearly a year. Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, Carlton House captured the 2011 G2 Dante Stakes and just missed winning the G1 English Derby by three-quarters of a length.

Bred in Kentucky by Darley, Carlton House is out of the Bustino mare Talented, winner of the G2 Sun Chariot Stakes, and from the family of Three Tails, Maysoon and Tamure, all of which hit the board in Epsom classics.
