Aztec Sense kept his winning streak intact with a front-running, four-length victory in the PA Derby Champion Stakes at Parx Racing Sept. 22.
Sent off as the second choice by the betting public, the five-year-old Street Sense gelding easily defeated G1 winner Collected to remain perfect in seven starts this year. Four of those seven races were Stakes victories.
Bred in Kentucky by Charles Fipke, Aztec Sense is out of the Stakes-placed mare, Aztec Pearl (by A.P. Indy). Aztec Pearl is a full sister to Champion Festival Of Light and a half-sister to G1 winners Acoma (Spinster Stakes) and Arch (Super Derby).
Street Sense has sired over 50 Stakes winners, including multiple G1 winners Sweet Reason and Wedding Toast. Street Sense is the sire of 2018 Graded Stakes winners The Lieutenant (G3 All American Stakes), Avery Island (G3 Withers) and McKinzie (G3 Sham Stakes).
