It has been an exciting few days for freshman sire Discreet Cat, who sired yet another strong two-year-old winner December 10 when Out Of Bounds took a Maiden Special Weight at Hollywood Park quite impressively in his second start. The juvenile colt stalked the pacesetter on the outside before going wide in the stretch to gain the lead and prove best in the seven furlong race on the all weather track.
Out Of Bounds was bred by Darley and a half-brother to Graded Stakes winner Etched. The well-bred colt is out of G1 Breeders’ Cup Distaff winner Unbridled Elaine, by Unbridled’s Song, who is also a half-sister to G1 winner Glitter Woman.
Discreet Cat has had a tremendous few days of two-year-old winners. In addition to Out Of Bounds his 18 winners include track record debut winner Discreet Dancer, who earned an impressive Beyer of 100. His daughter Cat Lore also posted a strong victory at Fair Grounds with a six length victory on debut.
Discreet Cat will stand the upcoming breeding season for $12,500.
