The Heiligbrodt Racing Stable’s homebred Heavenville was Offlee Wild's first winner and he is now also his sire’s first Stakes winner having recorded a half-length victory in the $122,225 Listed D S Shine Young Memorial Futurity over five furlongs at Evangeline Downs.
Out of the Petionville mare Seeking Heaven, the dark brown colt has now raced four times for two wins and a second. He is one of five individual winners for Offlee Wild, who is one of only four first-crop sires in North America to have a Stakes winner among their first runners. Offlee Wild is also sire of the Stakes-placed Tomball.
On the same card, Star Guitar, a four-year-old son of Quiet American, continued his successful year with victory in the Listed Pola Benoit Memorial Stakes. Bred by Brittlyn Stable Inc., M Benoit and E Benoit, Star Guitar has now five Stakes races and seven of his ten lifetime starts.
Elusive Horizon is another four-year-old with a highly consistent race record and she gave her owner/breeder Northwest Farms further cause for 4 July celebrations when romping home to a four-length win in the Listed King County Handicap over a mile at Emerald Downs.
The daughter of Elusive Quality from the Unbridled’s Song mare Exogenetic is now five wins and four places for 12 starts and won two Stakes races last summer.
