Harlan Street, a four-year-old son of Street Cry, celebrated the holiday season in style when recording a convincing victory in the Christmas Stakes on 26 December.
Settled in a handy position just off the pace, Harlan Street made his move coming into the turn and taking the lead at the sixteenth pole, drew clear of his rivals to win the six-furlong contest by two and a quarter lengths.
This was the third Stakes win for Phillip Mote’s homebred, who has now won on his last four starts including the Delta Mile earlier this month. He is out of the multiple Stakes winner Curious Conundrum, dam of two winners from two foals to hit the track.
Also on Saturday, leading freshman Offlee Wild notched his 16th individual winner when Offlee Cool took the one-mile Maiden Special Weight at Aqueduct and just a day later Offlee Wild’s total increased to 17 when Fleeting Will won over the same distance at Delta Downs.
