Double Espresso jolts field in First Lady Stakes

Medagalia d’Oro filly one of 14 stakes winners in 2010 for her sire

Last in the field of seven until the half mile pole, jockey Cliff Berry had to take Double Espresso five wide entering the stretch but the four-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro was able to get up in time registering her second career stakes win in the First Lady Stakes at Remington Park on October 10.

Double Espresso is out of Second Strike (by Fast Play) and was bred by McKee Stables Inc., in Kentucky.

Medaglia d’Oro is the sire of a total of 34 stakes horses from his first two crops. No other sire has more G1 stakes winner in 2010.
