Rockport Harbor filly graduates at Monmouth
Night Brigade wins stretch battle to give her sire his 11th winner
Night Brigade was second last early on in a maiden event at Monmouth Park on October 24th but methodically passed all but one as the field hit the top of the stretch. The two-year-old Rockport Harbor filly then battled the favorite gamely down the lane and inched away at the wire to win by a head to give her sire his 11th winner.
Out of stakes winner and G1-placed mare Speaking of Time, Night Brigade was bred in Kentucky by Tenlane Farm and is a half-sister to the listed winner Ms Vanenzza.
Rockport Harbor’s first foals are racing in 2010 and he is the sire of 10 other winners, including stakes winner Bear’s Future as well as stakes-placed Minutesandtouches.
