Bristol Harbour continues his winning ways at Finger Lakes
Bristol Harbour has already won going five and one-half furlongs, but stepped it up into allowance company going six furlongs on Saturday at Finger Lakes, and was successful for owners My Purple Haze Stable and Harold Lerner.
The son of Rockport Harbour settled back early into midpack under John Davila, Jr., then made a strong move around the turn. Despite being checked in upper stretch, Bristol Harbour rallied to win by a strong half-length and improve his record to two wins from four starts under the guidance of trainer Michael LeCesse.
Bred in New York by JMJ Stables, Bristol Harbour is out of the Stakes winner Anclote, by Twining.
Rockport Harbour has sired 15 other winners in his first crop, including Stakes winners Bear’s Future and May Day Rose, as well as G3-placed Minutesandtouches.
