Arctic Glamour made her Stakes debut a winning won when she charged from off the pace to win the seven furlong Listed ATC Reginald Allen Quality Stakes by two lengths at Royal Randwick on Saturday, 14 October.
Connections of the three-year-old daughter of Frosted have high hopes for the filly, who indicated that the G1 MRC Thousand Guineas is on her agenda.
Under a sharp ride from jockey Kerrin McEvoy, Artic Glamour powered from just off the pace to engage Joliestar in the stretch. The two fillies battled it out through the lane, with Arctic Glamour finally putting her rival away in deep stretch to win by two lengths.
Bred in Australia by the Toorak Thoroughbred Breeding Trust, Arctic Glamour is the fourth winner from as many to race for the Galileo mare, Fartoo Flashy. In addition to Arctic Glamour, Fartoo Flashy has produced G3 SAJC Chairman’s Stakes winner, Waging War.
In addition to Arctic Glamour, Frosted is also the sire of fellow 2023 Australian Stakes winner, Ingratiating (G3 Sir John Monash Stakes), while in North America he is represented by Stakes winners Sister Lou Ann ($500,000 Listed One Dreamer Stakes) and Graded Stakes winners Frost Point (G3 Doubledogdare S.) and Ice Dancing (G3 Santa Ynez). Frosted is also the sire of Jasper Krone, a two-time Graded Stakes winner in Japan, who is targeting a start in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Santa Anita.
