Frosted's two-year-old daughter Frost Me became her sire's seventh first-crop winner with an impressive debut victory going eight-and-a-half furlongs in the slop at Belmont Park on October 12th.
Frost Me broke well under jockey Jose Ortiz and sat in third in the early stages before making a three-wide move around the turn. She hit the front near the top of the stretch and pulled away to win by almost three lengths for owner Whisper Hill Farm and trainer John Kimmel.
Frost Me was bred in New York by Gallagher's Stud and is out of the winning Distorted Humor mare Kirov. She was a $175,000 yearling purchase at last year's Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Sale in Saratoga.
She is the seventh winner for Frosted, whose other first-crop winners include TDN Rising Star and G1 Alcibiades third Travel Column, TDN Rising Star Inject, eight-length Belmont winner Likeable, ten-length Churchill winner Frosted Prayer, Saratoga winner Restored Order and Churchill winner Tkotchke. He's the only freshman with multiple TDN Rising Stars and the only stallion in America with three juveniles to have run an 80+ Beyer this year.
