Ingratiating has given his sire Frosted the perfect start in Australia on October 2nd, becoming his first worldwide Stakes winner when taking out the country’s first juvenile Stakes race of the season, the Listed Darley Maribyrnong Trial at Flemington. He also was represented by his first Stakes horse in the US with TDN Rising Star Travel Column placing third in the G1 Darley Alcibiades at Keeneland.
Under a gentle ride from Damien Oliver, Ingratiating was always in touch in the 1,000m straight race, getting the better of General Beau at the 200m and drawing clear to win by a length with Cloudy (also by Frosted) making good ground into third.
And in a sweep of the placings for the Darley stallions, the runner-up was General Beau, a son of Darley Australia stallion Brazen Beau.
Frosted's other juvenile winners include TDN Rising Star Inject by six on debut at Ellis, Likeable in an eight-length romp at Belmont, TKotckhe by six at Churchill, Frosted Prayer by 10 lengths at Churchill Downs, and Restored Order on the turf at Saratoga. Frosted is the only freshman sire with multiple TDN Rising Stars in 2020.
