Souper Escape went straight to the front and never looked back in the 8.5 furlong G3 Trillium Stakes at Woodbine on July 18, pulling away in the lane to secure a dominant four-and-half-length victory.
It was the third career Stakes victory and first Graded Stakes win for the four-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro. She had previously captured the Christiana Stakes at Delaware Park and the La Lorgnette Stakes at Woodbine in 2019.
Souper Escape was bred in Florida by her owner, Live Oak Plantation. She is out of the Street Cry mare Cry And Catch Me, winner of the G1 Oak Leaf Stakes. Cry And Catch Me is a half-sister to European Champion Certify (by Elusive Quality), and hails from the family of Champion racehorse and sire, Habitat.
Souper Escape is the 75th career Graded/Group Stakes winner for her sire. Medaglia d'Oro is also the sire of 142 Black Type winners and 25 G1 winners, including 2019 high-level winners Cambier Parc and Higher Power.
