Animal Kingdom’s two-year-old son Animalia dominated a one-mile maiden against older horses at Gosford on July 20, becoming his sire’s sixth winner in the Southern Hemisphere. A Godolphin homebred, Animalia pulled away in the stretch to win impressively by seven lengths.
Animalia is out of the Stakes winning Red Ransom mare Hold To Ransom, making him a half-brother to multiple G3 winner Retrieve as well as Stakes winners Reparations and Abduction.
Animalia is from the first southern hemisphere crop by Animal Kingdom, whose other winners down under include TDN Rising Star Earth Angel, Lord Cecil, Platinum, Royal Phoenix, and Barbary. His first northern hemisphere crop includes undefeated two-year-old filly Sunny Skies, recent winner of the Debutante Stakes at Churchill Downs.
