Bernardini filly C’Est Beau La Vie has continued her recent winning form by claiming her first Stakes victory in the Listed Laelia Stakes (1600m) at Morphettville on April 9.
The three-year-old filly, now a winner of four of her 12 starts and three of her past four, settled behind the leaders for jockey Claire Lindop before being eased into the clear in the straight to win by three quarters of a length.
Trained by Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas and bred by Makybe Breeding and Racing, C’Est Beau La Vie is out of Valkyrie Diva, a Group-winning mare of eight races who is a half-sister to three-time G1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) winner, champion mare Makybe Diva, stallion Musket and La Amistad. Valkyrie Diva’s four foals to race are all winners.
Bernardini is the sire of 46 Stakes winners, among them 13 G1 winners including Boban, a five-time winner at the elite level, as well as Alpha">Alpha, To Honor And Serve, Stay Thirsty and Rachel’s Valentina.
