Desert Dream is Elusive Quality's newest Graded Stakes winner

If you put your money on the Elusive Quality fillies in the G2 Grande Premio Carlos Gilberto da Rocha Faira in Brazil September 14, you'd be doing well.  Three-year-old filly Desert Dream easily won the feature and another daughter, Birkin Bag, finished third.

Sent off as the favorite in the one-and-one-eighth-mile turf event, Desert Dream was forwardly placed in second throughout most of the race. Into the home straight the filly began accelerating and ran away with the win.

Desert Dream is out of Brazlilian G1-placed mare New Play, and is a homebred for Stud Rio Dois Irmaos.

Now the sire of 37 Graded or Group winners lifetime, Elusive Quality is the sire of top notch runners around the world. They include G1 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass, Australian Champion Sepoy, multiple G1-winning turf filly Elusive Kate, and G1 Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones. 2014 continues to be a successful year for the sire, as he's recently been represented by G3 La Jolla Handicap winner at Del Mar Enterprising, and daughter Shuruq who added her fourth career Group win September 6.
