Back-to-back Group wins for Street Cry filly
Three-year-old Street Cry filly Solicit made it back-to-back Group victories with an impressive win in the G2 Kewney Stakes over 7f at Flemington, March 8.
Sent out a short-priced favourite, Solicit sat outside the leader in the early stages before assuming control at the top of the straight and going on to win by a length.
Bred and raced by Contract Racing Pty Ltd and Mr and Mrs N Psaltis, Solicit is the fifth foal from Danehill’s dual Listed winner Princesa, herself a sister to the dam of this season’s G3 Chairman’s Stakes winner Nayeli and a half-sister to the G3-winning, G1 placed Kaphero.
Already the dam of the G2 winner Star Of Giselle (Reset) and the Listed placed Ducal Castle (Domesday), Princesa produced a Medaglia d'Oro colt in August last year.
The sire of 71 Stakes winners worldwide including 15 G1 winners, Street Cry is standing the current breeding season at Jonabell Farm at a fee of $100,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
