Secret Kitten smashing in Catcharisingstar Stakes
After impressing in her debut at Calder May 30, Discreet Cat filly Secret Kitten continued her winning ways by easily winning the Catcharisingstar Stakes on the turf at Calder.
In the five-furlong sprint the filly broke well and was sent straight to the lead. Holding position at the front throughout, the two-year-old kicked on in the stretch where there was no stopping her and won by five lengths.
A homebred for Gilbert G. Campbell, Secret Kitten is out of Mossy Bank, a half-sister to G2 National Museum Of Racing Hall Of Fame Stakes winner Turnofthecentury and G3 Busher Stakes winner and G1-placed Best Friend Stro.
Discreet Cat has had a remarkable week as a sire. His daughter Discreet Marq handily took the G1 Del Mar Oaks August 17, and last night Topic cruised to victory in the CTT and Thoroughbred Owners of California Handicap, also at Del Mar. An exciting young sire, Discreet Cat is the sire of 11 Stakes winners, six of which are Graded Stakes winners. He has also been recently represented by G2 winner and G1-placed Discreet Dancer and G3-winning juvenile Debt Ceiling, among others.
