Elusive Kate repeats victory in G1 Prix Rothschild
Elusive Kate, by Elusive Quality, secured her second consecutive victory in the G1 Prix Rothschild at Deauville July 28. It was the fourth career G1 victory for the talented filly.
Sent off as the favorite in the one-mile turf event, Elusive Kate took the lead with three furlongs to go and pulled away in the stretch for yet another win at the highest level.
Bred by Clovelly Farms in Kentucky, Elusive Kate is out of Gout De Terroir, a half-sister to multiple G1 winner Pleasantly Perfect. Her granddam is G1 Prix Morny winner Regal State.
Elusive Kate is one of nine G1 winners around the world for Elusive Quality. They include G1 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass, G1 Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, and Australian Champion Sepoy. Most recently, two-year-old filly Bahnah became the 31st Graded Stakes winner for Elusive Quality July 19 in the G3 Schuylerville Stakes at Saratoga.
