Discreet Marq on the mark at Aqueduct

Two-year-old wins listed Lie Low Stakes

Discreet Cat has had an exceptional year in 2012 exemplified by Graded winners Out of Bounds and Mamma Kimbo but he is also well represented with his second crop, now two-year-olds. Discreet Marq, one of 18 juvenile winners this year, is also one of his sire’s seven two-year-old Stakes horses.

Discreet Marq fired quickly out of the gate in the one-mile Lie Low Stakes and was ahead at every call, winning easily in wire-to-wire fashion.

Bred by Patricia Generazio in New York, Discreet Marq is out of the multiple Stakes-winning mare To Marquet who was also Graded-placed in the G3 Tempted Stakes. She is the dam of two other stakes horses in Marquet Cat and Marquet Madness.

Discreet Cat was the co-highweighted three-year-old in the world with barn mate Bernardini, a year in which he equalled Easy Goe's Belmont track record in the G1 Cigar Mile. He will stand for $12,500 in 2013.
