Pataky Kid powerful in G3 Arlington-Washington Futurity
Rockport Harbor two-year-old Pataky Kid made quite a statement September 8 with a powerful victory in the G3 Arlington-Washington Futurity at Arlington Park. Pataky Kid entered the Graded Stakes event having broken his maiden well at Arlington in early August.
Pataky Kid strategically stalked the pace toward the inside throughout the one mile race. He took charge at the top of the stretch and swung outside to take the clear victory impressively under jockey Garrett Gomez.
Bred by H. Allen Poindexter, Pataky Kid is out of Prom Princess, who is a half-sister to Stakes winner Extra Exclusive. His second dam is Stakes winner Prominent Feather.
A prodigious winner-getter, Rockport Harbor is the sire of 19 Stakes horses to date. In addition to Pataky Kid, his Graded Stakes winners include the talented multiple Graded Stakes winning filly May Day Rose. His second-crop juvenile Stakes winners include Banner Bill and Harbor Mist. He is the sire of a strong 77 first crop winners thus far.
