Watchyourownbobber took command in the stretch and was never seriously challenged as he charged to a one-and-a-quarter length victory in the Warrior Veterans Stakes at Indiana Grand Race Course.
The four-year-old colt by Hard Spun broke on top but was quickly settled into second as Big Changes (by Midshipman) led the field through the first six furlongs of the race. Heading into the far turn, Watchyourownbobber drew even with the longtime leader. The pair matched strides briefly before Watchyourownbobber took over in the final furlong to claim victory.
Watchyourownbobber was bred in Kentucky by Ashview Farm and Colts Neck Stable. He is out of the Stakes-placed mare, Boodles, and is a half-brother to Market Rally, winner of the G3 UAE Two Thousand Guineas.
Hard Spun enjoyed a terrific year in 2015, siring G1 winners Hard Not To Like, Hard Aces, Smooth Roller and Ertijaal. Hard Spun has sired seven Stakes winners so far this year, including such standouts as Le Romain, winner of the G1 Randwick Guineas and Fursa, winner of the G2 SA Fillies Nursery.
