Star Guitar has made a habit of winning. He’s gone postward 22 times in his career and has won an incredible 16 times. Last night’s Louisiana Premier Night Championship at Delta Downs was no exception as the six-year-old Quiet American horse won that event for the third consecutive year. His career earnings now stand at $1,185,958.
As he has done so in most of his wins, the two-time Louisiana state-bred Champion broke towards the back of the pack, made his move coming into the lane and pulled away in deep stretch for a widening one and three-quarter length victory.
Star Guitar is owned by Brittlyn Stable, who bred him in partnership with M. Benoit and E. Benoit. He was produced by Stakes winner Minit Towinit, by Malagra, who has also produced Stakes winners Grand Minit and Favorite Minit.
Quiet American is also represented in 2011 by G1 winner Switch who just captured the Santa Monica Handicap on January 30, her second career win at the highest level. Also included among his 53 lifetime Stakes winners is Cara Rafaela, dam of fellow Darley stallion Bernardini.
