Three-year-old Cherokee Run filly Soneva continued to advertise her sire's appeal to a European audience when winning her second Stakes race on her seasonal reappearance at Saint-Cloud in Paris on Monday.
Making just her fourth start, Soneva landed the Listed Prix la Camargo, run over a mile, by two lengths. After two second places in her juvenile season, she closed out her campaign with victory in the G3 Prix d'Aumale at Chantilly last September.
The American-bred filly carries the colours of Arno Curty and was bred in partnership by Mineola Farm II LTD Partners, D R Houchin and J W Hirshmann et al from the Nureyev mare Lakabi. She was purchased for $170,000 at Keeneland September by Frederic Sauque.
