Frosted two-year-olds continue to make the winners circle across the country with the latest, the juvenile filly Sober, winning over the all-weather track at Golden Gate Fields on November 5th. She becomes her sire's 11th winner from his debut crop.
Sober broke well and rated just off the first three as the field found its way down the backstretch. Nearing the turn for home, she started wearing down the front runners and made the lead nearing the wire for career win number one.
Bred in Kentucky by Thomas and Renee Scucci, Sober is out of a half-sister to Eclipse Champion two-year-old colt and G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Hansen and to G1-placed Anonymity.
Frosted's other winners include TDN Rising Star and G1-placed Travel Column, TDN Rising Star Inject, Stakes-placed Frost Me, eight-length Belmont winners Likeable (entered in the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile on November 6th), Belmont winner Ten for Ten, ten-length Churchill winner Frosted Prayer, Saratoga winner Restored Order, and recent Keeneland winner Inspector Frost. Frosted is the only freshman sire with multiple TDN Rising Stars and the only stallion in America with three juveniles to have run an 80+ Beyer this year.
