Henny Hughes sired his second winner inside three days on 6 September when his son Owain broke his maiden over five furlongs at Bath in the UK.
Despite being slowly away, the Chris Dwyer-trained colt soon recovered and was in touch with three furlongs left to run. Making headway once entering the final two furlongs, Owain took the lead close to home and kept to his task well to win by a length and a quarter.
Bred by Susan Bunning, Owain is out of the winning mare Twinkle – already dam of a G3 winner in Bright One.
