Elusive Quality recorded his second Stakes winner in four days on 25 February, when his three-year-old daughter Raihana landed the $250,000 UAE Oaks at Meydan.
Settled towards the rear under Christophe Soumillon, Raihana made her move approaching the turn and battled impressively to collar eventual second Bikini Babe, winning the nine-and-a-half furlong contest by a length and a quarter.
This was the third career victory (and second at the new Meydan racecourse) for the Mike de Kock-trained filly, who was bred in Australia by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum. She will now take on the colts in the $2 million G2 UAE Derby, a race previously won by fellow Darley America stallion Discreet Cat.
Raihana is out of the Sunday Silence mare Esubooh, herself a granddaughter of six-time G1 winner and champion three-year-old Emancipation.
Also on Thursday, four-year-old filly Magic Roberta gained her first Black type when third in the Mommy Dear Stakes at Aqueduct.
Elusive Quality, who stands at Darley America at a fee of $75,000 Stands and nurses, has sired five individual Stakes winners and a further four Stakes performers already this year.
