Onepointhreekarats flawless in Unbridled Belle

Onepointhreekarats, by Medaglia d'Oro, seems to shine brightest when she's on the lead. In fact, she won wire-to-wire in the Winter Melody Stakes in her last start and mirrored that performance again on August 15th at Delaware in taking the one mile and 70 yards Unbridled Belle Stakes, travelling gate to wire by two lengths. She has now won or placed in 11 of 15 career starts with six victories.

A fantastic-looking mare, Onepointhreekarats was appropriately a $1.3 million yearling purchase at Keeneland September being out of the Stakes-placed mare Beaties For Real, also the dam of G3 winners Friel's For Real and Ryan's For Real and Stakes winner Little Thunder. The Medaglia d'Oro filly was bred by Gilbert G. Campbell in Kentucky.

Medaglia d’Oro has been siring top-priced offspring since his first yearlings hit the sales in 2007. And he’s the leading sire by session or sales toppers ever since. Just recently, a yearling sired by him was the top-priced colt at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale earlier this month.

Onepointhreekarats is one of 24 Stakes performers sired by Medaglia d’Oro in 2013, 12 of those winners. Marketing Mix has continued her G1-winning ways this year and five other of his offspring have been successful in Graded company as well. His G1-winning son Violence has been retired this year and will join an ever-growing number of his sons at stud in 2014.
