Golden Sixty, a son of Medaglia d’Oro, won his eleventh race in twelve career starts on Sunday, 27 September when landing the G3 Celebration Cup at Sha Tin. Making his seasonal debut, he wasn’t hard to pressed to record an easy one-and-three-quarter length victory.
One of Hong Kong’s star performers, Golden Sixty went unbeaten in seven starts last season including thrilling victories in the Hong Kong Derby, Hong Kong Classic Mile and Hong Kong Classic Cup. Today’s victory takes his career earnings over US $4,000,000.
Bred in Australia by Asco International, he is a son of the G2-winning Gaudeamus (Distorted Humor), who has produced five winners including the Tasmanian Derby third Igitur (Helmet).
