Inject found a muddy track much to her liking on her way to rolling to a commanding five-and-a-quarter length victory in the six-furlong Goldfinch Stakes at Prairie Meadows May 15.
It was the first Stakes victory for the three-year-old filly by Frosted, who improved her record to three wins, two seconds and a third-place finish in eight career starts.
Settled behind pacesetters She Likes to Party and Splash Cash early, Inject found a seam turning for home and forged clear in the stretch to win comfortably.
Bred in Kentucky by My Meadowview LLC, Inject is a daughter of G1 Spinaway winner Appealing Zophie (Successful Appeal) and is a half-sister to G1 Belmont Stakes winner Tapwrit and G2 Del Mar Derby winner Ride a Comet.
Frosted’s runners are finding success in both North America and Australia. In addition to Inject, Frosted is represented by Travel Column, winner of the G2 Fair Grounds Oaks and Cave Hill, winner of the Rushaway Stakes. In Australia, the stallion is represented by Cloudy, winner of both the G3 Breeders’ Stakes and Listed Dequetteville Stakes and Ingratiating, winner of the Listed Talindert Stakes.
Frosted is currently standing at Jonabell Farm in Kentucky for a fee of $25,000, stands and nurses.
